About the Position

We are seeking a diverse and talented individual to take on the role of Material Logistics Officer (MLO) to support our Maintenance Team within the Supply Chain team.

The role is a dedicated resource to support the Maintenance team, working alongside the onsite planner consolidating parts, creating vendor orders and reclamation of stock items required for Maintenance tasks.

As the successful candidate in this role, some of your core responsibilities will include;

Collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs;

Purchase supplies and materials according to specifications;

Keep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc.;

Assisting in developing, analysing and reporting forecast demand for parts, components and vendor services;

Ensuring planned tasks have the required parts by follow, tracking and escalating delays with materials delivery;

Managing order confirmation, receipt and receivable of goods inwards;

Managing items dispatch, and return not use parts for storage or credit; and

Identifying deviations of deliveries against orders and creates remedial actions and reclamations against suppliers.

Your Skills & Experience

Demonstrated logistics and planning experience in a related industry;

Experience with operation and maintenance management;

Strong practical experience in developing parts procurement planning and scheduling;

Demonstrated ability to work in accordance with stringent safety policies;

Holds appropriate qualifications or has experience with regard to parts supply and management;

Displays sufficient technical knowledge and experience successfully assist the maintenance team; and

Has worked or had previous dealings with OEM’s.
