Starting ASAP, a well-run farm near Moora, WA (2 hours north of Perth) is looking for an experienced tractor driver / farmhand to join their operation for seeding.

Work will last until the end of seeding - until July minimum.

The main tasks will be;
- Operate a fertiliser and lime spreader (16t unit towed by a John Deere 300hp FWA tractor)
- Operate a deep ripper
- General repairs and maintenance
- Operate a CAT Challenger MT865C with an 18m DBS seeding bar (April onwards)
- Some sheep work

Regular 8-10 hour working days until seeding starts in late April. During seeding hours will be 12+ per day, 6-7 days a week.

Applicants must have solid farm tractor and large machinery operating experience. We want a confident but careful operator with basic mechanical and repair skills. Preference given to people who have already worked on a broadacre farm in Australia. Good communication and record keeping skills and a willingness to follow safety procedures are also a must. There is a no smoking policy in all vehicles and accommodation.

Pay rate will depend on experience but will range from $24-$28/hour. Meals and excellent accommodation are provided for $105/week.

This is a fantastic role with a well-regarded and organised farmer. Previous staff who have worked here have been very happy and have learned a lot.
